Ryder Industries was recently honoured to receive the "Contract Manufacturer of the Year 2024" award from Silicon Labs. Our work with them is a strategic partnership. Elevated above the level of supplier/customer, the commitments we make to Silicon Labs have helped develop new capabilities across our business. From streamlined operations to co-engineering of smarter solutions, we've been able to deliver long-term value.

Strategic investments in manufacturing efficiency

Our goal has been to deliver greater quality, traceability and speed. To achieve this, Ryder has committed to a number of new and enhanced facilities and capabilities:

• An automated SMD Component Store – Our Intelligent Warehouse has improved inventory accuracy and reduced downtime.
• Manufacturing Execution System (MES) - Ryder has a mature commitment to MES, and with Silicon Labs this has enabled send-to-end visibility across our production lines.
• Process Automation - We have automated functional testing, visual inspection and depanelisation for higher consistency and lower error rates.
• B2B Platform Integration - The use of an EDI system allows Silicon Labs to feed orders directly into our system, and receive real-time production updates. There are significant benefits to this, including reduced manual handling errors and live visibility of production status.

Ryder's team provides Design Rules for Components to Silicon Labs' engineering teams, which brings multiple benefits including design efficiency, improved manufacturability and cost competitiveness. Collectively these help Silicon Labs make better decisions earlier in the product development process.

And the process doesn't stand still. Our work with Silicon Labs is grounded in continuous improvement. We have rolled out ongoing Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) and delivered engineering-driven cost-saving solutions.
