In recognition of Teachers’ Day – Celebrating learning at Ryder
At Ryder, we believe that learning never stops. Continuous development is at the heart of how we grow – as individuals and as a company.
Last year alone, we hosted 35 training sessions across a wide range of areas – from cross-functional knowledge sharing and technical skills, to professional growth and leadership. Topics were far-reaching, reflecting the broad nature of our business, and included:
- Sales budgeting and customer P&L analysis
- Project management tools
- Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Mold and injection processes
- PLM and ERP systems
- Environmental awareness
- Communication and leadership development
- Digital tools (e.g., AI and Excel)
On 9 September 2025, we held an internal celebration of Teachers’ Day, to thank all our trainers for their dedication and to recognise the impact they have had across the organisation.
One of those trainers was Hans He, who led a session titled Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training. Through a combination of knowledge sharing, project coaching and hands-on implementation, Hans helped participants apply Lean Six Sigma tools effectively, measure progress and complete real projects that achieved meaningful results.
“The purpose of this session is to improve trainees’ system problem-solving ability using Lean Six Sigma methodology.” Hans He explained.
The impact of this and many other sessions continues to have a great impact across Ryder, influencing how we work effectively together, and deliver value to our customers:
- A stronger culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Enhanced problem-solving capabilities across teams
- A reinforcement of our pride in learning, teaching, and growing together
This International Teachers’ Day, our team has enjoyed celebrating not only the global teaching community, but also our own internal trainers who help make continuous learning a reality at Ryder.
