Green Team
  • Ryder’s Reach and HR4040 Implementation
  • Facilitate the transmission of relevant knowledge both within Ryder and to its suppliers. Where possible and relevant, sign environmental protection agreements with customers and suppliers.
  • Require supplier submit the COC or third party test report for first-time suppliers and first-time materials, with subsequent annual updates.
  • For incoming materials, require suppliers to submit the COC or third party test report; Ryder's IQA (Incoming Quality Assurance) department shall verify the COC or test report compliance for the first shipments under the same material code, followed by subsequent quarterly inspections.
  • The SQE (Supplier Quality Engineer) department shall annually audit suppliers for their environmental status to make sure they adhere to government legislation.
  • Extend these actions to raw material suppliers, promoting environmental good practice and establishing agreements on environmental protection.
  • ROHS Compliance
  • New product designs: All new products can be designed and specified to comply with this directive. Independent proof of compliance is available, including component vendor self–declarations of conformity for each component type.
  • Outsourced products: Vendors supplying products to Ryder EMS also comply with the ROHS requirements, and are responsible for ensuring that their component suppliers also provide proof of conformity.
  • Component suppliers: Component suppliers must also be able to demonstrate compliance with these regulations.
